2009-2010 Season

The Huskies return for the 6th year of Northeastern Squash. The team is particularly excited after hiring a new coach, Chris Reighluth. Chris graduated from Colby College in 2003 after a senior year as Captain, and has since been playing in the Boston area. After considering several candidates, the team thinks Chris will make an excellent addition to the Huskies, and can help to continue the successful program at Northeastern.

Men's Preview

The Northeastern Men's Squash team looks to improve on their 24 ranking in the upcoming season.  Leading them will be first year head coach, Chris Reigeluth. Coach Reigeluth graduated from Colby College in 2003 where he started for four years and served as a Captain. The Northeastern Men will be rebuilding this season after losing four graduating seniors including all-time wins leader, Chris Birkins, former Co-Captains, Clay Quarles and Darius Wilsey, and the talented Taylor Yawney.  Some additions to the team include David Moser who hails from Switzerland and freshmen, Keith Sprout, Gentry Bain and Daniel Hsu, and sophomore, Christopher Larue.  Juniors, Pedro Souza and Senior Buddy Scott will captain the team.

Northeastern's schedule provides many opportunities to improve and learn from talented teams including Bowdoin, Amherst, Bates and Yale. Northeastern will also play traditional rivals including Tufts, Hamilton, MIT, Connecticut College, Wesleyan, Colby and Stanford.  Northeastern will once again compete to become the top-ranked club team in the country. The Huskies claimed that spot in 2008 with a tight 5-4 victory at Nationals, while Denison regained the title last year.
